Remap Daz Voctoria V3 Geometries

This tutorial is a part of the product Perfect G! for Daz Victoria V3 - by Arduino

This tutorial guide you in the creation of your Victoria V3wwg!
You will get a new Victoria V3-wwg with a detailed genital map.

Daz Victoria V3 copyright doesn't allow to distribute the Victoria cr2 file in any way
For this reason I have thought about to write this easy tutorial
for allow to whoever to create the yours own Victoria V3wwg!
Arduino.

You need this program:
UVmapper By Stephen L. Cox (Free program) downlodable here: (thanks Cox!)
http://www.uvmapper.com/uvmapper.htm
Windows user: Download UVMapper Classic Version 0.25e beta (251k bytes)

Mac Users: Mac users a happy news
UV Mapper for Mac doesn't save the materials during the UVMap conversion.
There is TWO way for use Kattiva V3 on your Mac:

1-You must create the geometries object file with any windows-PC, then you can transfer the geometries object file on your Mac. The geometries create with a windows-PC they are perfectly compatible with Mac.
UVS file conversion requires few minutes. After the geometries file creation, all the other tutorial steps can be perform on your Mac.

2- Use Maconverter by MartinC
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Sector/1306/1306/psrmconv.html
Normally Maconverter it doesn't recognize uvs file but...  Try to change the "uvs" extension by "obj" extension and Maconverter will recognize the file and you will get your new V3 object file.
A thanks to Mr. Salvador Bernadó that has suggested me this solution.

Also you need any text editor program (notepad, wordpad etc.)
I suggets you "Note Tab Light" program is an excellent freeware Text Editor http://www.notetab.com/download.htm

Warning!: If you already have the UVMapper program, please, check that your UVMapper version is N° 0.0.2.5
if the UVMapper version number is not 0.0.2.5 or if you have uncertainties...downloaded immediately the free updated version from the Cox site

Step 1

Open the UVMApper program by Stephen L. Cox
This is the UVMapper window look:

Load the mesh object Victoria V3 geometrie
Select the Menu "File" -> option: "Load Model"

The Victoria V3 geometries are in this folder:
../Runtime/Geometries/DAZPeople/blMilWom_v3.obj

After the model loading, the Uvmapper shows the object statistics...Press the button "OK"

Then the UVMapper window will have this look
Don't touch nothing, leave all thus.

 Step 2

Now you must import the UVS file.
Select the Menu "File" -> option: "ImportUVs..."

If you have correctly installed the product, the

"blMilWom_v3_R.uvs" file is in this folder:

../Runtime/Geometries/DAZPeople/blMilWom_v3_R.uvs

An UVS file contains all the object UV coordinates (UVMap).

After you have loaded the UVs file , it looks as if nothing has changed, but this is not true, because now the Victoria_v3 mesh object has a new UVmap!

Step 3

Now you must save this new geometry

IMPORTANT! - Remember giving a different name to the new object, otherwise you overwrite the original Victoria_v3.obj geometries.

Select Menu "File" -> option: "Save Model..."

UVMapper opens a new window:
Don't touch nothing, leave all the options unchanged.

Press the button "OK" and save the file.

Select this path: "../Runtime/Geometries/DAZPeople"

Save the file with this name: "blMilWom_v3_R.obj"
(Please, respect the path and the names from me suggested)

In the folder "../Runtime/Geometries/DAZPeople/..." now there is a new geometrie object file: "blMilWom_v3_R.obj"

Well, The new geometrie file is ready!

Step 4

Now you must modify the file cr2 that it could read the new geometries.

The Cr2 file is a simply text file that contains the instructions for the figure setup in the Poser scene.

You must modify two cr2 file lines.

Open Your Text Editor (in this example I use "Notepad" program, but you can use any other text editor - as ex. "wordpad")

Load in Notepad the Victoria V3 cr2 file from the
"DAZ People" Poser Librarie.

Select Notepad Menu file -> option: "Open...or load..."

Select the Notepad option "Files of type:" "All Files"

The Victoria Cr2 file are in this folder:

../Runtime/libraries/character/DAZ People/Victoria 3.cr2

The Victoria 3.cr2  file could have this look in the Notepad program:

Or it could have this look in the Notepad program:

It depends on the operative system that you are using

In each case all this doesn't have importance, whatever it is the appearance of the cr2 file in Notepad,  continue your job.

All the tex editor have a function named: "Replace" in the Menu "Search" (or "find&Replace"). This function searches a word or a phrase and replaces it with a different word or phrase.
In your VictoriaV3 cr2 file, the word
"blMilWom_v3.obj"
must be replaced with the new word "blMilWom_v3_R.obj"

Select the menu "Search" and then the option "Replace"

Notepad opens the Replace window:

In the above box (Find what) you must write the word: blMilWom_v3.obj

In the under box (Replace with) you must write: blMilWom_v3_R.obj

Press the button "Replace All"
Leave the necessary time to notepad for do the changes.
Two lines will change.

Step 5

Now save the new cr2 file with a new name.

Select the Menu "File" option: "Save As..."

…then save the file in this location:

../Runtime/Libraries/character/DAZ People/

Select the notepad option"Save as type"-> "All Files"
(don't use the default option ".txt")

Name this new cr2 file as: "VV3wwg.Cr2"

Warning! Use the file extension ".Cr2" otherwise Poser won't read the file.

Well, also the Cr2 file is now ready!

Now you can open this new character in your Poser program.
